All auditioners who meet the eligibility requirements for any role shall be afforded equal opportunity to be considered for that role. Persons interested in a role for which they do not meet all eligibility requirements may be allowed to audition for that role at the discretion of the Director. We are a non-equity house and all performers are volunteer.

We accept any one who has placed a reservation for their audition or one who walks in during the audition dates.

DO NOT PARK AT AXIS, you could be towed, you'll need to park in the parking garage (Fee required) at Hubbard and High or you may park at any of the meters in the area.
Walk ins are welcome
Please bring a song from the show with a CD or phone/ipod/mp3 player accompaniment track - NO VOCALS (OTHER THAN BACKUP) ARE ALLOWED.

Jimmy Harper - A wholesome, innocent, high school teenager who runs into trouble after he is lured into the dangerous world of reefer
Lecturer - a severe authority figure who warns the audience of the perils of Reefer Madness
Mary Lane - Jimmy's sweetheart, a naïve, virginal teenage girl
Jack Stone - The handsome and ruthless proprietor of the Reefer Den, a 30's gangster movie-type
Mae - An attractive, yet slightly haggard dame in her mid-30s, the hostess of the Reefer Den
Ralph Wiley - a denizen of the Reefer Den, formally a fraternity man, his college days ended long ago due to his reefer habit
Sally - a sexy and seductive resident of the Reefer Den, she possesses the libidinous soul of Mae West combined with the rat-a-tat moxie of vintage Barbara Stanwyck
Placard Girl - throughout the play she reinforces the warnings of the Lecturer by holding large signs that clearly state the moral of what we've just seen
Ensemble - Mixed gender group to represent Reefer Zombies, Kids at the Five-and-Dime, Jungle Orgy dancers, Angels, and patriotic background chorus in the Star-Spangled final
Rehearsals are held in the Short North.
Most rehearsals will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings. Some weekend dates will be required. Expect to rehearse 1-2 days for the first few weeks, then expect 2-3 days half-way through the rehearsal calendar, then we will go to 4 days per week to prepare for performances.
